After you apply - next steps
After you apply to Wilfrid Laurier University, we will send you an email confirmation that will include your student ID number. If you do not hear from us, please let us know and we will re-send your confirmation. You can reach us at email@example.com or by calling 519.884.0710 x3385.
We will also mail you a post card, which will contain your new Laurier ID number and outline the next steps in the admissions process. You will need this ID number and default numerical password, which is your date of birth (MMDDYY) to check the status of your application online. For instructions on how to do this, please read the next section.
To ensure you receive our emails, please add firstname.lastname@example.org to your address book or 'safe sender' list in your email account, as we will be communicating with you over the next few months on important deadlines and registration information.
Check your application status
Laurier's ONLINE VIEWING feature will allow you to view your application status, view admission decisions, as well as keep track of the documents we require from you - details will be provided via email and on this site when we start receiving applications from OUAC. (To access on-line viewing, you will need your Laurier ID number, which sent to you by email and will be included in the postcard you receive when you apply. If you cannot find this, please contact the Recruitment & Admissions office. In addition, you will be asked to enter a PIN number. Please be advised that your PIN number is your date of birth in the order of month-day-year, two digits each, for a total of six digits. For example, if your date of birth is December 31, 1993, your PIN should be entered as 123193.) How to use ONLINE VIEWING.
- When filling out your OUAC application, please review all information carefully , as this is the information we will receive and provides us with the information that will appear on ONLINE VIEWING. If required, make amendments within the "Review and Change Your Completed Application" section of your OUAC online account.
- Included in ONLINE VIEWING will be the Applicant Background Summary Form, which is designed for current Ontario Secondary School applicants to provide additional information. All other applicants may submit additional supporting documentation directly to the Recruitment and Admissions Office.
- All applicants to year one programs with no previous attendance at another post-secondary institution can also submit the Entrance Bursary form, which is found in ONLINE VIEWING. This form, along with the ABS form, will be available in mid-December until the April 14, 2014 deadline.
Changing your email?
- Laurier's main method of communication with you, upon receipt of your application will be EMAIL! Please be sure to update any changes to your email address on your OUAC account.
