One of the easiest ways to learn what it is like to be a Laurier Golden Hawk is to visit us and experience it for yourself. You're invited to join us Saturday, Nov. 10 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. for our Fall Open House on the Brantford campus.
Open House is one of the best times to visit campus! Our students, staff and faculty look forward to meeting you and answering the questions you have about our university and what our Brantford campus has to offer you.
Join one of our student volunteers for a guided tour of the campus. Tours are available all day from Wilkes Hall and take approximately one hour. You will visit academic and faculty buildings, student recreational spaces and tour the downtown core of Brantford. Tours are available from 9:30 until the last tour departs at 2:00 p.m. Visiting residence is done separately through the Residence Open House portion of the event.
Looking to enhance your money management skills and confidence before you head to university? In partnership with Laurier’s Dollars and Sense Money Management program, this presentation discusses available financial support and resources for students, student invoices and fees, and will wrap up with some tips on how to plan for financial success.
The Department of Residence will provide a complete overview of the residence experience. What's it like to be a first-year student living in residence? We'll answer your questions about living on campus, our online application process and what to expect in your first year.
Our former Laurier students are here to help you get ready for university. Find out you can make the leap to Laurier as easy as possible by hearing their tips and advice on how to be successful in your first year.
Take the opportunity to visit with faculty at the information fair, available to speak with students and families about programs of interest. If you wondering about coursework, class structure, homework or course materials, now’s your time to speak directly with professors!
Visit participating residence buildings and tour them at your own leisure. You'll be able to view different room types and get a sense of our different residence options available to you.
Our information fair will have a number of campus partners involved. Learn more about Financial aid, campus recreation and sports, admissions, accessible learning and so much more.
Free parking is available in the Market Centre Parkade. To enter the Parkade, drive to 100 Water Street, which is adjacent to our Brantford campus, and the entrance is located across the street. Volunteers and signage will be there to direct you to and from the Parkade and throughout various checkpoints across campus.
For the best experience arriving at the Brantford campus, use our event parking map through Google Maps. The map works best in the Google Maps mobile app and does not work well in Google Chrome. If on a web browser, you are asked to log in to view the map, try opening the link in a new browser.
If you have an accessible parking permit, we ask that you please contact Rachel Cavin (firstname.lastname@example.org) in advance of Open House so that we can accommodate you best.
Try Golden Grounds Coffee in the Research and Academic Centre lobby! Or venture around campus, which is near to many local and restaurant chain favourites. While you’re visiting, we recommend any of the following places to enjoy lunch at:
